Finally got some time to work on my project. The oil pump body has been cast, hardened and machined.  Attached the starter motor, clutch and gear box, timing gear cover and front balance wheel. Getting closer now to starting this stunning piece of engineering.

New oil pump housing has been cast in Aluminium (mold is available for recasting by the foundary if anyone wants one). Motor coming along now. Will get the casting machined this week.

 

Progress... The oil pump housing has some hairline cracks so getting another cast in aluminium at the moment hence the hold up puting the sump on and distributor. Working on getting the clutch oprerating. Oil pressure relief valve needs a new spring so working on that now two. any advice greatfully recieved. Catch you all later

Block is back in place in the engine bay. Next will be to add the valves and lifters, Bell housing and gearbox. This will allow the breaks to be adjusted and the cluch plate. Next job.
